I had both..I assume most of the guest signed the guestbook..My picture wasn’t that big, so only a handful of guests could sign that.  The guestbook was out the whole time and the picture was up in the cocktail hour area for guests to sign..I think what you are doing is fine..

I think that with 350 people you’ll have conjestion no matter what!  I still would stick to only one.  If you have 2 people will think they have to sign both and make it twice as crowded!  It seems confusing.  Do only family sign one?  Is one for just names or are you suppose to sign both?  Can you write a silly message in the one not going on the wall but a serious one for the frame?  (these are thoughts people may have).  Plus having 2 things later in life may seem like you favor one if you hang it or put it out.  Also you want to de clutter one day and decide to get rid of one.  That’s just my opinion but I think I would stick with 1 large enough guest book which ever format.  You could also have a sign saying “names only” or something to speed it up.

this is what we did. got a huge matte with a tiny photo.

The matting actually came in the frame…so the only thing I had to add was the picture!

@PrncssDva: Kohls always has really nice frames that include the mat and they are almost always running a sale on them. I always buy the black malden frames with white mats from there, and they always look awesome!

We’ll have a guest book at the ceremony (in the church vestibule), and the photo mat at the reception. We found our photo mat at Michael’s when they were having a 20% off sale 🙂 I still need to find a guest book!

We’re going to skip the matted large photo and just do a photo guestbook. We’ll probably keep it out like a standard guestbook at the beginning and then try to get the planner to pass it around during the reception or have it at the photobooth table. We thought about the large framed photo…but, we really wouldn’t hang it up in our house. It’s just not “us” to do that. I’ve seen them hung in houses before, but it’s usually moved after a year of so of marraige. It’s still pretty though! I love photobooks SO much though that I can’t imagine doing anything else!
