    I had a traditional guestbook for the Ceremony and a matted picture blown up of us, for the Reception. They wrote little notes to us on that one. It is now in our living room above the fireplace.

    We had one sitting on a table at our cocktail hour surrounded with pictures of our parents/grandparents at their wedding. It was really nice.

    We had a book that I designed in Blurb and it was only at the reception – it was on a table and then it got passed around for people to sign!

    i’ve never actually seen a guestbook at the ceremony – only at the reception.

    We had a photobook made with our e-pics too and we had it out at both the ceremony and the reception.  People left us notes/messages in addition to signatures in it and I’d guess about half signed at the ceremony and half signed at the reception.  Having it at both help keep a line / traffic jam from forming as people took extra time writing messages.

    We just had one at the reception.  It worked out well except there was one couple that was at the ceremony but not the reception.  They ended up being left out of the guestbook… I feel a bit bad about that.

    This is a sore spot for me. I made a photo book and spent about 4 hrs on the design and design on the sign. I sent half the pens to the venue and half with the guestbook to the ceremony first. I put sil in charge and then dh told her it was for the reception only and then on top of that NO OnE brought it to the reception!!! If you have a lot of guests bs it’s more than names I would do both… But be VERY clear to people 🙂
