A friend of mine got married recently in the Phillipines (where she is from) and had a postcard stand instead of a guestbook. The postcards were picstures from all over the Phillipines. Everyone signed a postcard and put it in the cute mailbox she made.
I was wanting to use our engagement pictures to make a guestbook that everyone signed but this idea is super cute since we are having a destination wedding. I thought it would be cute to find postcards from Indianapolis (where I used to live), Purdue University (where he attended), Indiana University (where I attended), Cincinnati (where we live now), and Santa Rosa Beach, FL (where our wedding is).

We had postcards as our guest book and it worked really well. We had a collection of vintage postcards from our Destination Wedding destination and had them on a table with pens. What I liked about the idea was that people could take the postcard away and write at their leisure rather than quickly scrawling something so as not to hold up the line for the book.
What we have done is frame the postcards- some of them with the pics showing and som with the message showing. the great thing is that we can switch it up by turning the cards around or rearranging them.

We had a guestbook and not a single person wrote in it. Not One. I’d go with the postcards.
In saying that though, even if they did write in the book, I’d probably read it once then shove it in a cupboard somewhere…? I’d personally just try get the photographer to get a photo of everyone.
