- Wedding: January 2012
So I figured I would share this little DIY project that my uncle is doing for my Fiance and I. My family is pretty near and dear to tradition, and one tradition is of a wedding quilt. I am an avid quilter and so are several members of my family including my uncle.
So my lovely uncle came up with the idea, of having next to the actual paper guestbook, squares of white/ivory/cream fabric and permanent fabric markers in our wedding colors! That way guests can write a little well wish on a peice of fabric and after the wedding my uncle is going to construct a quilt out of them for Fiance & I. I love this idea sooo much and think it is such a fun twist on the traditional wedding quilt, as I am pretty sure we are already receiving the traditional double ring all white wedding quilt. Plus it will be something fun to always have and to hopefully be able to pass down.
Plus I love quilts and a quilt with this much love put into it is just going to be so amazing. I think it might be the one thing I looking forward to the most for after the weddign things (besides the honeymoon ofcourse)
