I need some help… and fast since my wedding is on Saturday!
Short story: We bought our super expensive guestbook and my fiance thinks it needs a detailed sign instructing our guests what to do.
Long story: After searching through tons of ideas of guestbook ideas – we finally decided on a custom sign in a frame with a matte and expensive frame around it . The ‘sign’ is the artistic/industrial photos of letters spelling out our new last name. Total money spent on the project is over $400 because the sign is almost 6 feet long. My fiance is afraid that people aren’t going to know what to do. Mainly because his family (over 50% of the invited people) are all older, and this is really a 1st/unique idea for a lot of them.
I cannot come up with cute sayings for the sign that don’t sound too rude. We really only want them to sign their names and maybe a few small words. There is a 3″ matte around the pictures and 180 people attending. But at the same time we dont want it to be all bare if only 1 person signs it from the families (aka “The Smiths”).
We were toying with something like “This artwork will forever be hung in our home, please sign your names and a small saying on the matte, so we can look back fondly and remember our day and all of you who shared it with us”.
Can you help me think of other sayings? Hope this all makes sense! Thanks!!
