So this is our guestbook tree.. I love it! (except for the part where our initials were printed right above the heart, instead of in it, so I have to send it back to be fixed) I got it for $20.25 with a coupon, and free shipping for doing a free 30 day trial of zazzle black (I think thats what it was called..) ONLY problem I worry about is that I ordered value poster (matte) and it isnt matte at all, its fairly glossy. Sooo now Im worried that the prints will smudge =/ Has anyone bought this, or something similar and actually used it? OR have any suggestions to avoid smudging?

@KellyNation: Do you still have the one that was printed wrong? If you do, you could test out the ink on it. Or, if you don’t have the one that was printed wrong, could you test ink out on the back of print (if the back has the same finish)?
In another thread some one said that “a lot of the designers on Etsy say to use the Memento Dew Drop Inks since they dry fast and won’t smudge as easily.” So maybe that ink would work best?
I hope it works out ok because I am thinking about getting their balloon guestbook, and I would rather get it in the value poster than the premium canvas!

Thats a good idea, I didnt even think about doing that! I’ll look for that ink also! Thank you!! I dont blame you, its MUCH cheaper, and I figure I can buy a pretty frame for it, and it would look just as good as the canvas!

We used a special sharpie ultra-fine point permanent marker and it worked perfectly! No smudges at all.
We also had someone stationed at the tree, near the entrance, sort of helping and encouraging people. It worked out very well and I am pretty sure we have all of our guests signatures.
And, it looks fantastic hanging in our dining area.

Oh and they were signing on a glaze, so it wasn’t super absorbant.
