I don’t have a pic, but we’ll probably just make a hardcover book on iPhoto with our engagement photos for people to write on. It’s quick, easy, and inexpensive. 🙂

I used one that my Mother-In-Law bought me. I wanted something else, but how could I not use it if she bought it for me? It was cute, white with a peacock feather on it.

I did also put a black leather photo album out and notecards that I made and people wrote “words of wisdom” on them and slid it in the book. It was fun!

I’ve never been inspired by traditional guest books so we decided to go with photos instead. Our guests will be asked to write their guest book entries on life size dry erase thought bubbles (we were originally going to use chalkboards but the chalk can get messy) and then take pictures with them in our photo booth. After our wedding we’re going to make a collage out of the pictures and display it in our home.

This is the basic jist…

(Picture snagged off google. I don’t really know these people.)

@UpstateCait: you are too cool.  I soooo wish I wasnt across country planning. I so would have loved to set something like this up- if I had thought of it 🙂

I don’t have a picture yet but my bro-in-law is drawing a thumbprint tree for us. I think it’s so much for fun than signing a book and having it sit on a shelf forever.

I made my own custom guestbook pages.  I just went on Word and designed pages for each guest/couple to fill out.  I didn’t want some boring list of everyone’s names and addresses that I’d store away and forget about, so I had guests answer a few questions, make predictions about our future, offer advice, and draw pics of themselves.  I printed each page out on textured, thick ivory paper, got a couple baskets in our color scheme from Michaels, and put up sparkly photo frames with instructions (“Guest Book: Please take a pen and a page,” “Place completed pages in this basket”).  I’m going to make the pages into a book (probably just hole punch and decorate a nice binder).  If I could afford it, I would have included a camera with that sticky Polaroid film so guests could take pics of themselves.  This is what each page had:

-Sign your name

-How do you know the bride and groom?

-How far did you travel for b&g’s wedding?

-What advice do you have for b&g’s marriage?

-Draw a pic of yourself!

-Your Predictions… Date of first child?    Number of children?   Names of children?

For a secret santa this past winter, an artsy friend who made me a personalized guest book 🙂 It was the first object of the wedding I had completed!
