We sent out our invites and starting to get official RSVPS for our Destination Wedding in 4 months. We wanted our Destination Wedding small and knew bc its in Europe, with time and cost, and babies, and work a lot of friends wouldn’t go. But bummer.. I was hoping for 30 something. Now its more like half that size. 🙁

I think fifteen seems like plenty for being in EUROPE; I can’t think of many people in my life who would make a trip that far. There are fifteen people willing to invest a lot of time and money into seeing you get married. Cherish that, and also it will be more intimate this way. 🙂

@kankanwed: I know how you are feeling. We have not sent out invites since we have been going back in forth on our date but we have about 100 on our guest list but out of all people we have told about it only about 20 or so have seemed really genuinly intrested because of the cost. I understand though Destination Wedding can be expensive for a guest. We will be happy with how many turn up!

I’m not so sure I would go to Europe for all of my sister’s weddings.

I know, not really upset. Just will be missing some friends. I completely understand all the reasons. But my 2 of closest friends who had their weddings in Europe (which I flew out to) can’t come, so it sucks they couldn’t come because we share DWs. In reality, a very small party is actually better so that we can all enjoy each others’ company.

I have been to a few Destination Wedding and usually they are not large in the number of people but always very intimate and have alot of heart. It is amazing to be able to spend quality time with the ones that you love!

15 is a great number! I had 15 at my wedding in the Dominican and it was wonderful. Nice and intimate. Enjoy!

Wow, the one Destination Wedding I went to in the Bahamas had over 100pl and I didn’t think anything of it. I guess DW’s are usually smaller.
