UGHHH. I paid my final number, got the placecards made, now I hear from 2 guests that can no longer come to the wedding. I know this happens and it was nice of them to let me know but they say “Oh when was your final count due, do you still have to pay for us?” Yea I do but I don’t want to sound rude telling them that.

Hey, I wouldnt mention that info on my own, but if they actually came out and asked, i’d have no problem telling them yes. What do they expect me to do?? Lie and say no??

It’s so annoying. We had probably 10-12 people say yes and were then no-shows at the wedding (not even a week or day ahead notice) and had another 4-5 not rsvp or rsvp no and showed up. I’m glad I didn’t bother with place cards – it would have just been a huge mess anyway.

Yeah, we had at least 10 guests RSVP “yes” and then not show up. Hundreds of dollars wasted. It’s upsetting, but unavoidable from what I can tell.

We had several people RSVP yes, tell us they wouldn’t miss it for the world…and then they didn’t even show up. No call or anything. So annoying!

I did my place cards the day before the wedding. I had about 15 ppl not show. But then I had about 10ppl show up uninvited so I guess it balanced out 🙂 I’m still wondering how to word a Thank You note to a few people whose wives showed up but they didn’t.
