@MrsFuzzyFace:

Hi.  We are planning our 30th Wedding Anniversary Vow Renewal!  Some of the women here have gotten gowns made from an onsite place.  I will have to look up the name.  Anyway, that is what I am thinking of.  My husband doesn’t think I should wear white or ivory.  Since we have planned for this in Mexico, I was thinking of a blue sea type color.  I would like to have mine made for me-so I can hide all my flaws, lol.  In the meantime I have some positive weight loss going on!

I think DressilyMe is the name of the site.  This is the one I like!  I am going to ask them to take the trim off around the neckline and put it on the edges of the outer strap/sleeve.

It seems like a formal evening gown would be in order – in any color you want!  Maybe you could do a wedding gown in a different color.  My niece just went to prom in what looked like a silver wedding gown.  It was very sophisticated and I would have worn it for my wedding if she and I were anywhere near the same size! lol!

as far as renewals go, etiquette says wear what you want! The only no-no’s are:

registering for gifts
bachelorette/bachelor party
first dance
money dance

Darling Husband and I are renewing our vows this November and I am wearing this:

with no veil or train

Wear your dream gown, there are no rules!  You will only get once to wear the dream dress, take advantage, especially if you want a formal dinner GO FOR IT!!!

wear whatever you want! I don’t think there are any no-no’s other than what the pp said about registries and such.
