I don’t know what it is about the grown adults I work with who just don’t know how to properly chew gum! One woman pops her gum for EIGHT hours straight. The other guy flaps his gums so hard that I can hear the juicy squeek of his saliva and gum. CLOSE YOUR MOUTH while you chew gum! He sounds like a cow chewing his cud. It makes me want to slap them.
What do your coworkers do to drive you NUTS?!

I was embarssed for our country when I saw a female RCMP officer chewing gum at the Grey Cup Game. They filmed the officers waiting to escort the cup down to the field and there was a wad of gum in her open mouth. I am fairly sure that was a big No- No . It looked so unprofessional.

@ILoveMyKorat: the thing that drives me crazy is my coworkers leaving their dirty dishes in the sink for days! I usually have to wash things in that sink too so it’s just nasty. This isn’t your house!!

@ILoveMyKorat: The sound of people chewing is my biggest pet peeve and it makes me twitch sometimes, lol. I wouldn’t be ble to stand listening to a co-worker chew their gum all day.
My co-worker talks SUPER DUPER LOUD ALL THE TIME! And it drives me bonkers. I’ve even ranted about it on here before.

I would NOT be able to stand that. Especially the popping. I think it’s a valid HR complaint and wouldn’t hesitate to say something.

@ILoveMyKorat: I am glad I am not the only person who feels this way.. I mean, I understand the occasional snap, but not constantly for HOURS… There is a girl who sits next to me that does that UGH!

While this wasn’t the workplace, when I was in High School I sat next to this girl in one of my classes that would grind her teeth…AWAKE. It was so irritating that I had to switch my schedule because of it. Everyone could hear her through the entire room and it was some sort of nervous tick, but it was like nails on a chalkboard.

@ILoveMyKorat: Shit. Do we work together? *looks over shoulder*
I do it because I have a high stress job and it helps me work out some of the additional energy I have. It basically saves me from giving beat downs. Although I try really hard to chew with my mouth closed…have you ever tried to tell them that you can hear it?

Thankfully…. I don’t have to deal with this at work because that is one of those things that sends shudders through my body. I want to smack the person until they spit the gum out. I know….violent! haha….
What my coworkers do that bug me? hmmmmm…. I will have to think on that…. I guess not clean up after themselves? They will do a nail trim or shave a dog to place a catheter and then not sweep up after. That dosn’t happen very often, but it does get on my nerves. Oh! and leaving cage doors open!

Ugh. I deal with this. In a small 6 person organization you can hear everything. Including the woman who pops her gum all the time. >.<
