@Sweet.Sugar.Rose:  Yep those are the ones I take.  The only thing is they don’t have iron or calcium, so you have to be sure to get that from your diet or a second supplement.

@Sweet.Sugar.Rose:  Tums would probably be fine, and once you actually get pregnant, Tums may become a necessity for their heartburn purposes anyway.  That’s how it’s been for me at least.  EVERYTHING gives me heartburn.

I too cannot swallow pills larger than excedrin and even those I gag. So I started taking the Nature Made gummy prenatals on Jan 1 I Love them. I also take the same brand chewable fish oil. We will be TTC after July honeymoon.

I have a hard time getting pills down too and it got MUCH harder during the 1st trimester.  My gag reflex is extra sensitive.  I take the Rainbow Light Prenatal Petite Mini.  It just breaks down the one pill into 3.  These have been much better for me.  It isn’t a gummy but I started not being able to get the gummy ones down either because of the taste.

I don’t take gummies, but I do take prenatals without iron and I’m currently pregnant. You do just need to make sure you’re getting anything not in the gummies from your diet. So, plenty of red meat and low fat dairy for iron and calcium. πŸ™‚

@Sweet.Sugar.Rose:  Target’s generic up and up brand makes a gummy prenatal vitamin as well so it’s cheaper. Its the same as the vita fusion including the dha. I took it first but I decided I needed the iron so I had to switch to pills.

I take the VitaFusion gummy ones as well. I can’t swallow anything larger than an Advil.

PI take the Caltrate calcium supplement – its chocolate truffle favored and really yummy πŸ™‚

@Sweet.Sugar.Rose:  I can’t speak for anyone else re: iron but I was not anemic when I had bloodwork done at 13 weeks so I seem to be getting enough from my diet.

Thanks for the congrats. πŸ™‚
