Brilliant Earth is a great choice. Great job going for something you KNOW she’ll like. Simple and classy. It’s perfect!

Karl Fleming :  I know you’ve gotten a lot of advice and I haven’t read all of the comments but have you thought about a London blue topaz? They’re deep blue green and absolutely gorgeous! I found this simple emerald cut solitaire on Gemvara.com for $580 in 14K white gold, $920 in platinum and $535 in palladium. This one is an 8×6 mm.

Karl Fleming :  Of course, I totally understand. Also, if you are leaning more towards moissanite, I think that’s a great choice! It’s a gorgeous stone and the emerald cuts are truly amazing! I’ll be having a moissanite ring made myself soon! 🙂

Karl Fleming :  I totally missed the ring you posted from Brilliant Earth! That’s a beautiful setting and a lab diamond is a great way to go. I’m sure she’ll love it!

Karl Fleming :  I would have went with James Allen as much as I love brilliant earth they are such a rip off.. are you positive you’re g/f would be happy with a diamond stimulant instead of an actual diamond??

Given the morality issue, have you checked out:

https://ecodiamond.com/engagement-rings/loose-lab-created-diamonds

They have come affordable lab diamonds (20% off right now) that with setting will keep you under budget.

I think this low profile solitaire setting, for e.g., meets all your criteria. There are several other setting options as well

Karl Fleming :  I like that option so much more and it’s an actual diamond! I understand a diamond stimulate is basically the same but for an emerald cut an actual diamond would sparkle more. I know this cause i considered an emerald cut for myself.. Hope you go with the james allen you won’t regret it! From your previous post you wouldn’t want to consider a halo solitare? i see your gf pinned a ring with a halo.

I think this option would be good for your girlfriend if she does like halos and it is still in budget with the stone you choose on their website https://www.jamesallen.com/engagement-rings/halo/14k-white-gold-pave-halo-engagement-ring-item-18301 they have it in platinum for 1080$ and in 14K White gold 770$ also if you sign up with them via email they will send you a coupon for 100$ off your first purchase maybe think about it? I have a halo and it never gets caught on anything. Just basing on what i see on what you shared on her pinterest i think she would really like this option.

and this stone is really nice https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/emerald-cut/0.50-carat-h-color-vs2-clarity-sku-2380358

complete ring 1880$ 100$ off coopon by signing up with your email 1780$ i think it would be perfect for her!

or if you want to get her 14k gold it comes out to 1550$ I have 14K gold and its very durable i have no regrets getting gold instead of platinum

I agree with the PP about the halo setting with James Allen. You posted about her liking the halo setting on Pinterest and it would fit in the budget. I find halos are beautiful and they shine so much, I have a double halo and I can say that it doesn’t get caught on things and it is just breathtaking. And you said something before about being scared that the diamond would be too small, well the halo would help with a bit of extra finger converse without being too much either. And as you mentioned, she get could a diamond band to add even more sparkle.

I agree with with the halo it will give her more finger coverage but it will make the emerald cut pop more. I think thats a beautiful choice

Karl Fleming :  I absolutely love how much time and effort you’re putting into this ring! Your future fiance is lucky to have you! I see that you’ve posted several gorgeous options and I’m sure she’ll love anything you get her! Here is a statement on James Allen about their conflict-free diamonds. I figured I would share since you were concerned about the morality of it.

https://www.jamesallen.com/education/diamonds/grading-conflict-free/

EDIT: Just wanted to add that I agree with VintageGirl1020 about the halo! Based on the rings she’s pinned, I think she would like that best! As a bonus, she would get even more finger coverage which you mentioned you were worried about in one of your previous posts! Even if you get the platinum version, you would still be under budget with the .45 diamond you chose!
