…about going to the gym.
(PS I know I’m probably going to get massacred by the self righteous bees out there who have the perfect know-all relationships where they invite their SO’s to a pap smear b/c they have “nothing to hide” and they “know everything about each other” and there are “no secrets” lol)
He is an AVID gym goer/crossfitter, like to the point of obsession. Around this time last year, I used to be the same way, between my best friend’s wedding and a cruise we went on, I was super dedicated and in shape. Somewhere around last spring, I just lost all will to bother. I have zero motivation!!!
Tonight marks yet another night I said I was going to work out after work and I’ll probably just end up stopping by the supermarket and going home instead! I DON’T FEEL LIKE ITTTTTT!!!!!!! He goes to a different gym and gets home much later so our paths never cross. The only reason I lie about it is b/c he’s always so proud when I work out and reach goals, and I DO feel like eventually I can get back into it, just…not…today lol.
What white lies have you told your SO out of convenience??

@BurlapnLace: Aww, I have done that a time or two… Little white lie about the gym.
I also have told him I ate healthy for lunch when I really headed to the nearest fast food joint. He actually found the bag in the trash when he was looking for papers he’d accidentally thrown out and when he saw it he was really hurt I’d lied. 🙁

@mrs_pudding_pop: My best friend said one of the funniest emails I sent her from work read something like this:
“I just had lemon pound cake for breakfast, told Fiance it was oatmeal.”

@BurlapnLace: It’s ok. Most people do stuff like this even if they don’t want to admit it.
Most recent would be telling him I’m cool with getting fast food for lunch when I really just wanted something that wasn’t greasy. Lol! We don’t get it too often though and he was excited; I can’t say no to his adorable face!

I have said I spent time with my horse at the barn when I didn’t when we first started dating. Sometimes I just wanted some time to myself at my apartment in my pjs…and he is so active I would feel bad so if he asked if I went out and rode my horse I would just say yes. not proud of it, but definitely no harm done.

@BurlapnLace: I just LOL’d at the crossfit= obsession connection. I have several friends who are so insane with CF that it is literally the only thing on planet earth they can find to talk about.
I am all for working out, but holy crap those people take it to a whole new level!

@BurlapnLace: I don’t tell my Fiance about how unhealthy I have been eating… I’m trying hard to stop my chocolateholic ness, but it’s hard.
Could you take up gym-pact, runkeeper or Myfitnesspal and be friends on their? My Fiance is on my fitnesspal with me, and when we were both doing it daily, it was a great motivator to see the other on it as well.

@BurlapnLace: OMG! Cake instead of oatmeal! LOL!

I go for Dunkin’ Donuts sometimes on a day off (when he’s at work) and hide the evidence 😉 I finally admitted it last week and THEN HE TOLD ME HE DOES THE SAME THING!!! We both totally cracked up.

@BurlapnLace: I’ve may or may not have left out a snack or three when discussing what I’ve eaten for the day with my husband. I feel compelled to say, “All I had all day was a carrot and a Lean Cuisine for lunch.” Lol. I don’t know why, not like he asks. I guess I don’t want him to think I’m a pig at dinner for no reason. 😉

@BurlapnLace: He sounds really dedicated, so maybe he can help to re-motivate you!
I forgot a lunch today so I mentioned to my partner that I was going to buy one. He asked what and I replied, oh, probably a sub (which isn’t even that healthy). I bought Thai and it was wonderful! If I told him, he’d expect me to bring some home for him, lol.

…or like, when I’m having a “glass” of wine at home, and I go into the kitchen and take a swig. About 5 times.
Did I mention he doesn’t drink?? LOL!

“What? This ring? It was like $150 $20! I know right? Bargain!” 😉

@BurlapnLace: I’m not self-righteous, I’m just honest. I want Darling Husband to be 100% honest with me… If that’s not your relationship than that’s great for you:) I’m not here to judge anyone else.
