I don’t know if I’m late to the party or if this is news, but I ‘like’ her on facebook and she posted lots of stuff from her baby shower today. Wow! She’s over 40 now so that makes me feel better to wait a bit for baby (thinking of trying around 30) and I will cite liberally to Fiance when he bugs asks me about it 🙂

Although based on the fact it’s another boy I suspect Gwen got pregnant naturally, many 40+ celebrity moms go the invitro route and then keep quiet about it. I wish more of them would come out and be honest about it. Don’t worry about waiting until 30 unless you have a specific reason to be worried (i.e. endometriosis).

ya it should be close to the end of her pregnancy actually – she’s having a third boy! And she’s also been in such tremendous shape her whole life so she’s probably pretty safe at 40…and she’ll bounce back quickly I bet 😉

She’s 44. Odds are, at her age, that she probably had some help to get pregnant, so I would tell all the normal folks out there *not* to see her as an example that you can go on naturally having babies well into your forties doing nothing more than scheduling regular sex. It’s possible, but unlikely.
It’s a surprise, though. I thought she was older – 47ish.

Not to freak you out or push up your timeline, but the risks do get higher the longer you wait. I’ve known plenty of women in their 40s that have gone on to have perfectly healthy babies (my grandmother included who had a surprise baby-my uncle-in her 40s) though, so it’s not unheard of.
