(Closed) Gym goers: morning, afternoon or evening?

I am not a morning person at all! I workout in the evenings it works out better for me. Even though I don’t have a normal 8 to 5 job. I still love running in the evenings. Plus I sleep better and feel so much better! But I know some people have a hard time falling to sleep after working out in the evening. So you might have to try it and see how you feel.

I’ve been a mostly morning person since October.  This week has been a little rough with the time change, so I went twice in the morning and twice in the evening.  Next week, I’m hoping to be back to all mornings again.  There are way too many people at my gym right after work.

I go right after work but I’m spoiled — our gym is in our office building.  There aren’t that many people there.  I can’t get up any ealier and I love getting ready to come to work — BUT GOOD FOR Y’ALL that can get UP in the AM to work out!!

I go in the mornings, I hate going after a long day of work, so the morning is the lesser of two evils 🙂 Plus I love the feeling of being at work knowing that I my workout is already done!

I can only work out in the mornings, because I’m tired and lazy after work.  I definitely feel you on the time change difficulty– I hate getting up when it’s still dark outside.  Especially if my husband is snoozing away! But I lay out everything ahead of time and I have so much internal guilt if I skip that I’m usually pretty good about going.  Another plus is that if I work out in the morning, I’m much less inclined to splurge on junk food during the day– I don’t want to undo my hard work!

I used to try to go in the morning, but it was hard with Fiance passed out in bed still. However, now that I get up for work at 5:30 I definitely don’t  get up any earlier to work out. Instead, I usually come home, work out and then have dinner. Also, I’m a big fan of long weekend morning workouts. Those are awesome!

I HAVE to go first thing in the morning. Otherwise, I have no motivation to go at the end of the day. I set two alarms. The first one I set for about 5:15 am by my bed. The second one I set for 5:20 in my living room.

After my first one goes off, I HAVE to automatically get up and turn the second one off before it goes off, so that it doesn’t wake up my Fiance. And getting out of bed is the hardest part for me, so problem solved!

i wish i could go in the morning but i’ve never been a morning person.  i usually hit the gym at 9pm.

Just about everyday I talk about getting up early and going to the gym, but I usually go right after work.

There is a FREE gym in my office building complete with an awesome locker room, showers, towel service, studio with classes and a great view! Oh, and lots of machines!

I go everyday during my lunch hour. It’s great motivation… "keep working out or go back to my office?"… hmmm… tough one!

I work out at least three days a week with a bootcamp group at 6:30, and I’m trying to add personal workouts the other two days on my own, but it’s been tough.  The key is really just going to bed early, which can be hard to resist the temptation to stay up late watching tv or playing on the internet.  I have to get to bed by at least 11:00 if I want to work out in the am.

It depends on which fitness class I like. 🙂 When it comes to the gym, I’m generally very unmotivated… I need a class to make me go! So depending on which fitness class I like during the day dictates whether I go in the morning of after work! 🙂
