I pay $40/month for just me at a local gym, which is discounted for employees of my company which is in the same complex.  It’s a super fancy gym with a basketball court, pool, and lots of classes.  But honestly, I only use the cardio equipment and some of the free weights.  It makes me mad to pay all that money when I don’t really use all those extras! But for me, it’s worth the convenience of being able to work out on my lunch hour.  I love it.  I don’t have to worry about getting up earlier or mustering up the energy to workout after work. I’ve mastered my freshening up routine and making the time to go.

Plus, the membership is month-to-month…a lot of place have cheaper rates but will make you sign a contract for “x” amount of time.  That was a big deal for me.

I couldn’t vote. I pay $0 there is a gym on post that I can go to for free. It’s pretty nice!

I pay $10/month for Planet Fitness.

I used to go to my community center. The gym there is also only $10/month but it closes pretty early, especially in the summer, and it doesn’t open at all on weekends. If you wanted to pay more money (like $35-50) you could take classes.

That’s my only complaint about PF. I really like fitness classes (spinning, yoga, zumba) and they don’t have those. But at least it’s cheap and it’s not closed all the time.
