I’m having a really really hard time getting myself motivated to go to the gym, I have a membership that’s been gathering dust for months (and I feel really guilty about it). Anyone want to be my virtual gym buddy – if I’m accountable to someone it might help. Anyone else out there need a ‘gym buddy’??

@MsGinkgo: oh me! I used to go ALLL the time. A couple months ago I went and renewed, went the next day and haven’t been back since! Owch.

Definitely! My goal is to work out every day in December! (Wedding in January + holiday eating = drastic measures!)

Yes! I need to get back into shape so bad! Do you use myfitnesspal? I’ve found that when I use ti I’m far more accountable for eating well and exercising

Sure! I don’t like to friend anyone on MFP, but I’ll post on here that I went! Should we also post what we did?
Example: Monday I was on the eliptical for 20 mins before attending an hour of body pump express/cx worx

@MsGinkgo: I’ll join, I need some accountability too! With the gym and also remembering to log my food and activities – when I stop using MFP, everything gets bad!

if you havent heard of it, theres also an app called (coincidentally) GymPact – where you pledge a small amount of money that you lose if you dont work out the amount of times you “promise” to – I havent tried it out yet but it seems to have a following.

I’m on MFP – same user name as here, feel free to ‘friend’ me there.
Perhaps we can all make weekly commitments to our planned fitness routine and post if we actually do it?
I’m glad i have people who want to do this with me 🙂
