So I have gone to the gym in the past to work out, but I’ve never figured out a routine or anything. Does anyone have any suggestions for someone like me?
I guess what I’m thinking is start with some cardio, walking on the treadmill, or elliptical for 15-20 minutes…and then weights? Ugh I have no idea!

That’s what I do & I mix it up – use different cardio machines, weights, etc. Also, I guess you’re supposed to work on different body parts each day – I would look online, or get a personal trainer for a few times.

I like group fitness class! also, when I first joined a gym, I read the book “Body for Life” and it gives you scripted workouts, which is very helpful! You can request it from a library if you don’t want to buy it.

4 days a week i use the elliptical or run for 45 minutes, then use the weight machines for arms. 2 days a week i do weight training only, then i have 1 day off. it’s best to alternate cardio vs. weights and to mix up your routine every once in awhile.
i just use my apartment’s gym so i don’t have access to classes, but i love those too. check if your gym has a boxing class – those are my favorite!
