Hey everyone 🙂
My SO and i are going the custom route and we’ve been quoted for H SI1 diamonds in my ring. It’s going to be a 1ct TDW 3 stone halo.
Please post pics? Tell me your experiences with these kinds of stones?

I love my ring. My co worker had the same specs but 1 color higher than mine and I can’t tell the difference.

My ring is a K color (warm/yellowish) and I2 and I have never thought it was yellow or could see the inclusions due to the cut! It all depends on how it is cut and where the inclusions are.

As PP says where the inclusions are makes a difference and also the cut, as two stones can both be H SI2 but one cut much better than the other so will be much more sparkly.
if you get the stats on the stones suggested, along with any video and asset / ideal scope images and post on the pricescope forum, you’ll get some good expert advice on there about picking the best stone for your halo.

tabbytren: I dont own anything meeting this criteria but every “H’ colored diamond I have seen was beautiful, barring they had an excellent cut. I think the diamond would still look nice if it is cut well. However, is it possible to see the diamond before hand? It depends on how sensitive you are, but I know for me, I would make sure the diamond was still eye clean when going on the lower side of clarity.
Also, are these stones for the halo portion or the center diamond? If its the diamonds in the halo I wouldnt worry about clarity as much, but for the center diamond I would be more likely to ensure it was SI1 eye clean.

I have an H S12. I can see inclusions only from the side (little specs), but looking on top it looks perfect. 98% of the time it looks white white white! Certain lighting I can see the more yellow tint. But I think you do need to see different S1 or S12 to ensure the inclusions aren’t so obvious. Just purusing james allen the same grade can be vastly different based on where the inclusions are.

I’m abiut to get a G SI2 and it’s definitely eye clean, but I would make sure yours is eye clean before buying it. Heres the picture of mine, I doubt you’ll be able to see a color difference and yours is a grade higher in clarity so personallay I wouldn’t worry about it!

I have an SI1, f color and excellent cut. The cut to me is what makes the huge difference, I also don’t have any clouds. My inclusions are for the most part hidden by my prongs, so not even noticable. You can get a great deal this way. Good luck and congrats! Not much difference either between g/h. I can tell the difference between my F and an H, but it is VERY small, and only if they are side by side in the right light.

Thanks everyone 🙂 The diamonds will be round brilliants – ideal cut. I’m very happy with the whole idea. I just wasn’t sure and wanted to see real rings. She did show me some at the store but the lighting in there is so good anything would look amazing! 🙂
