so you’re going to replace your solitaire with a similar sized solitaire? I’m confused.

amandajane4949:  I think she is just thinking of switching out  the stone for a better sim option than classic Moissy.

angelpixxi:  Would you want to see a 6.5mm OEC solitaire? What size is your finger?

angelpixxi:  I am sorry I don’t have any pics because both my rings are larger stones then yours. If your really happy with the performance of your mossy and just want a whiter color I would go with F1. The only reason not to is if you don’t like how they cut their RB. C&C only made a test run of hearts and arrows in the F1 and sold that batch to moissaniteco. That is why rhey are so hard to find. I have heard C&C will not be doing any more F1 cuts intil their classic inventory has been depleted (I could be wrong about this)

the amora gem preforms Beautifully but not as well in low light. I have a Amora OEC and a FB OEC. I prefer the amora but just barley Due to color. I If they had better cuts in the F1 I would snatch one up since it seems to be the best of borh worlds. I like a chunkier facet so I am now getting the amora ultra Hearts and arrows Until C&C makes more cuts

I wouldn’t bother changing your ring unless something about the stone is really bothering you. Yes, there are other options, but not necessarily better than the one you have. I love my AG’s and they are my stone of choice right now. Your ring looks gorgeous though, so I’d leave it be.

Aaaaaw, that makes sense! I’d definitely order a few stones and play around with them then, just to see which one looks best to you. πŸ™‚ The thing I love about the H&A cut on the AG is that the arrows are fairly wide, giving it almost a transitional cut, which I love since I adore the big chunky facets and throws of light from my OECs. πŸ™‚

angelpixxi:  I really like your setting, it’s really pretty especially from the side it looks unique and low set. Where did you get it?

Here are a few pics of the 6.5mm OEC Unenhanced moissanite (sorry I don’t have an OEC Amora Gem to show you). I think there was one Amora Gem OEC on the BTD site in the 1 carat range last time I checked–I know they aren’t working on that cut anymore. You can still get OEC moissanite from Ebay and there is some stock left at MoissaniteCo. too if you end up liking the look, but again it’s a discontinued cut. Finger is size 4.25 for reference:

angelpixxi:  Thanks!

The jeweler may need to do a little bit of prong work to accomodate the bigger stone, but it should be easily accomplished. Your setting looks so nice, I am sorry it can dig in and be uncomfy! I thought I recognized it from Rosado’s on Etsy! I have it bookmarked from when I was looking at settings, lol! It’s too bad to hear that you had a less than perfect experience with them though. I have heard a few Bees say the same.

Are you going with Oren/Moissaniterus on Ebay? That is a great recommendation. I have used him too. He is easy to work with! You can tell him to handpick the least yellow of his inventory. Good luck and keep us posted on what you get! The H&A is a great looking cut from poster’s pics and reviews. I am sure it’s going to be BEAUTIFUL! πŸ™‚
