I haven’t quite had a dream like that yet – but I also am not stressed about my dress (at least, not yet…because it is supposed to be in in December and that gives me a lot of time before my wedding still!).  I can definitely see how that is a bit stressful for you, but don’t worry too much yet!  You have lots of time, even though it is nice to get things a-moving!  The good news is you aren’t going crazy!

However, I have had other wedding dreams!  They usually don’t make any sense though haha!

Sometimes FB is so inpersonal (though I must say I am an addict). I would say call her and talk about the dress. See what she says. See if she really wants to do it. Maybe she feels pressured into making it? And if no response, get on shopping. Good luck 🙂

I had dress dreams too!  I am wearing my Nana’s vintage dress and originally my aunt was going to do all the alterations for it.  After a few months she realized that it was just too much for her to do.  I had to find someone to reconstruct the dress ASAP.  I felt much better knowing that with a professional there was a timeline and we had a contract.  At this point it seems like you still have time, but I would want her to come up with some timelines!!!

@Statutory Grape:  Yeah, it would definitely be nice if she could at least respond!  If you don’t hear anything for another day or two, I would call her.  I know it can be awkward, but she agreed to do this for you, and it isn’t like it takes long to send a quick message back!  I wouldn’t want to wait too long to get it started either, just in case!

I’ve had a few dress nightmares pretty much all the same.

I’m dressed and about to walk down the aisle and look down and see that I’m not wearing MY dress, but some other random dress.

I’ve also dreamt that the photographer only took pics of herself and my father gave me a telescope as a wedding gift instead of paying for some of the wedding.

SO WEIRD!!!

I would call your friend, or ask to meet with her to speak about how the dress is coming along.

Ack she’s still not responding? I know school just started and everything, but if I was making something as important as a wedding dress I would at least maintain contact with you. I might start assuming that she’s figuring out how crazy this year is going to be and afraid to back out. I know I just talked to my sister (the other senior art student) and she was just telling me all this BS liberal arts papers she has to write on top of her art projects.

I know how hard it can be to just sit back and wait this out.  I might start shopping around for another custom seamstress, and if you find someone you like, you can always tell your friend that you really appreciate that she would do this for you, but that you don’t want to burden her with all of this while she’s in school, and you’ll be a lot less annoying (to her) if you go with someone else? Holy run on sentence Batman!

@Lucy10: haha, I don’t know about you, but I would LOVE a telescope!
