Very excited to meet LO.
I was already 3cm dilated and cervix 1cm thick and stretchy apparently so doc did a stretch and sweep.
It’s 8 hours later and I’m starting to feel what I think may be some little contractions.
Anyone had a successful sweep at 39 weeks?

Sounds like you will be meeting LO soon. I have a friends who had her baby the same day as her sweep just this week. Good luck.

My future sister in law had a sweep done and she had the baby very early the next day! She was over due though.
Good luck! Hopefully this is it!

MeandYou : Congrats! Was gonna say it might not work, but apparently it did for you! That’s fantastic!
I had a sweep at 39.5 weeks (4cm dilated, 80% effaced) and that resulted in a big fat nothing 😂 – then I had another sweep at 40.5 weeks… still nothing. Went in for an ultrasound at 41 weeks, but everything looked good so no inducement. That night I started contracting & had my boy at 6:40am the next morning!
