I posted photos in the Gemma thread but i figured pretty much just Gemma brides go there! 🙂
I requested extra crinoline at the fitting because I was afraid the flowers would start looking droopy. So far the consensus has been an overwhelming yes to the decision, but polls are always fun!
The fitting went well. They will have to take in a few bumps in the lining and will do the hemming after the crinoline gets added. I’m hoping to drop a few more pounds before the second fitting too. The dress fit just fine, but it could use a bit of slack in the back as my backfat was squeezing out.
After months of going back and forth between regret and love, I’m finally content with the gown. 🙂
Here’s the gorgeous train:
And bustle! Whatever they did, it looks complicated. It’s a combination of French with butterfly.
Better photo with my other camera:
As far as the poll:
After poof (with bustle, so it might look even poofier this way compared to the train being down):

@techie: I voted for no poof! I think the drape of the skirt is so soft and beautiful without the extra crinoline. It’s hard to vote though because the dress isn’t pinned to your figure in the “before” pic, so the fit is less flattering. Can you try it both ways once the bodice has been altered?

The poof really brings out the detailing, so definetely. Stunning, you’re my favorite Gemma bride!
