acg90 : honestly, if you want a return I think you’re well within your rights, given the circumstances… despite the fact its been a few weeks.
I’d email them and tell them that you’ve found out that this is not a one time mistake but something they’ve done to numerous other customers and you now feel too uncomfortable to proceed with them and would like a refund. If they say no or ignore your email, then talk to the credit card company and tell them the truth. Go from there.
Worst case scenario–you get a moissy ring with diamond side stones from MoCo cus your CC company and MoCo both don’t think you have a case. Fine.
Best case scenario–you get your refund and you can go about buying a loose stone elsewhere and having it set in a ring of your choice.
There is no scenario where they get to keep your money and your ring! So.. remind yourself that and breathe.. it will work out, even if right now it’s all very frustrating.

acg90 : also, if there are any lawyer bees out there who do this kind of thing – the number of stories we’ve heard in just a short period of time is starting to feel class-actiony. If i had a ring from MoCo with diamond side stones, i’d get it tested ASAP!!!

luckyrabbit : WOW. I don’t even have words. I’m sorry you went through that. You are right about them seeming helpful at first, then the communication slows down or there just isn’t some for days sometimes.

“ I’d probably write them a detailed email of the ordeal and (request) demand a refund.”
Fixed it for you.

acg90 : Oh, they’ve got one for sure. They just don’t give it out for reasons such as this. It gives them the upper hand and allows them to make ignorant excuses.

acg90 : I understand MoCo’s price is really good so it seems like a great idea. You’ve probably seen so many topics on happy customers here. I feel like there aren’t many upset customers on here before because maybe they could delete their threads? I tried deleting mine when they were ssooo eager, but I couldn’t. Hissoon tried to delete hers too, but she couldn’t either. They know how to make you feel that you should delete a honest thread for them because you give them the benefit of the doubt.
You probably love your ring and you hope they can fix it for you for pretty much a steal price. But the thing for me was, do I want to give my money to a company I don’t trust? What if I have issues in the future, will I be ignore again? What if they fixed it, but the craftmanship might not be ideal and my ring starts falling apart months later? They can just blame me instead and that I wore it badly or something. There were too many IFs. My fiance was attached to my engagement ring, and I understand. But I did not want to deal with what might happen to it in the future.

mrstodd2bee : acg90 :
<h3 class=”address__heading”>(702) 932-4529</h3>
This is the number that shows up on their BBB file, maybe one of them will get through?

catskillsinjune : I’ve been thinking/wondering the same thing! There has to be some kind of legal action that can happen here.
It is so clearly a scam that MoCo has going. Sell rings with ‘diamonds’ that are actually moissy, and if anyone notices tell them oh no they’re lab diamonds and that’s why they test as moissanite. Or claiming it was their diamond supplier who made the mistake?! Are you kidding?! What a load of horse sh*t. They shouldn’t be allowed to do ‘business.’
OP, I’m so very sorry this has been your experience with what should be such a happy time in your life. Congratulations on your engagement, and I hope you are able to have this situation resolved in a matter that you are 100% satisfied with. 💖

jellybellynelly : I was editing as you posted. Agree, I would try both!

Just send them a link to this thread and they’ll suddenly be happy to do whatever you want if you’ll delete this.

She went quiet so I’m sure they got a hold of her already or something. lol. They’re like ninjas once a thread goes up.
So shitty that they only start paying attention to customers once they post a thread.

luckyrabbit : I’m at work so I can’t reply as quickly as I would like to. I will reply to all this evening after work and after a doctor appointment. I appreciate all the responses!!

I’m sorry they did this to you. I’m sure it must feel weird without your ring. I hope they either give you your money back or give you the ring soon. Sometimes rings can take up to 6-8 weeks after processing. If you need a new supplier who does both diamonds and moissanite check out russel jewelers on etsy. (He might be cheaper too for the same ring) I just bought my ring through him and it’s amazing and high quality. I wish you luck!
