i think you look Fabulous!!!!! we are super harsh when it comes to ourselves and see things no one else will.Ur guest will be blown away with your pretty face to even notice the back which by the way doesnt look bad.i had a bit of some chunkyness on the back of my dress and you can see in my pixs but no one commented on it they were to busy looking at the front.Dont worry you look beautiful:)
Ok my maggie did the same thing
Loosen the laces at the top a bit
tighten them in the waist
Back fat fixed 😉
By The Way You get more gorgeous each picture you take – you look simply stunning!
I’m worried that the waist can’t be tightened. It seams like the seamstress tightens it as far as it will go. I even asked her if the hips should be taken in more because it didn’t feel real snug there but she said no or I wouldn’t be able to sit down comfortably.
She may need to take in the waist a bit more while not touching the top so that there is support from the waist and rib cage
I think you look great. But I will say that my best friend who got married in December felt the same way and had a bustierre under her dress (or however you spell it) which was making it tighter so i told her to take it off. Turns out it eliminated some of her “spillage” and she could actually breathe, and it was doing nothing for her!
I remembered this post and looked at my back today for the first time in my dress… I have terrible back fat… you look amazing. Now I wish I wouldn’t have looked at my back lol. I’ll be wearing my hair down!
You look great!!!
I too am very very concerned about my back fat. I hate it soooo much and so embarrased. I have almost one year to go until my wedding but I am actively going to the gym and doing some weight work.
I think you can loosen the bust area when you wear the gown so it won’t squeeze you so much?
What back fat?? 🙂
In all seriousness, I understand your self conciousness. A few questions – were you wearing heels in that picture? Heels change your posture dramatically, from hips to shoulders. If you wern’t, you may find a good portion of the “problem zone” will dissappear. A veil and/or a bolero jacket will also hide most of it or distract from it., and moving around will minimize it. The next time you’re in it in front of a mirror, put your arms up like you’re dancing – that’s the most likely pose people will be paying attention to you in at the reception (which is when most brides ditch the veil and jacket). I’ll bet most of it’s gone in that pose. Loosening the top couple of laces just a smidge too will help.
I used to work in a bridal shop, and I’ve been a bridesmaid many times over. No stress. This *holds up hands to make a box around the computer area* is a no stress zone.
Good luck!
