I had the most amazing honeymoon ever and we didn’t travel to some island or go on a cruise, not that I would have complained about either of those.
If any of you ladies in the midwest are looking for a cheap(er) honeymoon idea I have just the place. Check out Big Cedar Lodge in Branson, Missouri. It was incredible! It’s a little hidden property right outside of Branson. Very secluded and VERY romantic. There is a nice size lake you can boat/fish/canoe/paddleboat on. A couple of really nice restaurants. Four pools. Putt Putt Golf, an arcade, hiking, horse riding, carriage rides, the list goes on and on. It’s pretty much an adult theme park. A couple pictures…
This was waiting in our cabin when we got there…
Breakfast in bed
Fireplace in the cabin
Waterfalls all over the property
My sweet husband booked us a carriage ride
I am so happy with our honeymoon, it was perfect for us! I would recommend it to anyone and everyone!

Wow, it looks and sounds amazing!! Branson is only about a 4 hour drive from us. Since we’ve already booked a honeymoon, it’ll be an excuse for a weekend getaway 🙂
Glad you had a great honeymoon!!

Ohh, I love cabins with fireplaces. I think next winter I’m going to drag Fiance to one somewhere. I don’t think I could get him to go to Branson, though – he’s from Springfield, MO and is so tired of Branson. That place looks nice, though!

OK, a few questions! lol Did you do a certian package or was it all- inclusive? How many days did you stay and where did you eat for breakfast and dinner everynight? Thanks!

@NewYearsEve: His mom actually paid for it because we couldn’t afford a honeymoon but I know it wasn’t super expensive. It was not all inclusive, we had some sort of honeymoon package, pretty sure it came with the free breakfast in bed. We were there from Sunday afternoon to Tuesday morning. Sunday night we had dinner at the Devil’s Pool restaurant (amazing), Monday morning we had breakfast in bed, lunch was at the cute little coffee shop, and for dinner we drove into Branson and had dinner at some delicious mexican place. Most of the activities there are free though and there is a shuttle that takes you around the property, you don’t have to drive any where unless you leave the property.
