I occasionally have dreams where I’m back with marrying/married to my ex – those ARE nightmares indeed! It’s always such an amazing relief to wake up to my new reality!

I think what’s happening is that my subconscious is simply trying to sort things out – my ex and I were together for 6 years before I left him.. Sometimes in my dreams I will realize that I am no longer with the ex and I will force my dream to change to present day reality.

@krayzay87:  Maybe it’s your mind’s way of showing you what it could have been like if your ex hadn’t misled you. Or maybe it’s a sign of unfinished business. Did you guys ever have real closure? I know there have been people and situations that I’ve never gotten closure from that have popped up in my dreams in a very strange way.

@krayzay87:  It’s just your brain working out “what if?” scenarios. I wouldn’t think about it too hard.

I moved in with my SO not that long ago and we got serious very quickly. He is totally different from my usual “type”- which is a good thing, but apparently my subconscious needs to remind me of this. Lately I’ve had a couple dreams where SO & I are not exclusive and I go on dates with guys who are more “my type”. In the dreams I always end up really sad and feeling stupid for not commiting to SO. I’m thankful my brain has come up with a healthy way to process any lingering doubts!

@krayzay87:  I think it’s similar to “lucid dreaming”.. It’s pretty cool and I’ve been able to control my dreams since I can remember – I’ve always been an active dreamer, lol
