This morning I had to take my little brother to school and when I got home I worked out, showered and ate breakfast. I started to get light spots in my eyes and I laid down with the lights off.
I usually get one migraine every month or every two months but this migraine was ridiculous. I ended up going to bed because it was so painful. To make it worse my allergies were acting up so whenever I sneezed my head throbbed.
I didn’t go to class because I couldn’t sit up. One time I opened my eyes and the vision in my left eye was blurry. I finally fell asleep and when I woke up I felt so drained and exhausted. It almost felt like I was sick with the flu or something. Needless to say the pain went away but I still feel weak.
Has anyone had a migraine this bad before?

Unfortunately yes. I have been getting them a lot lately and I think it’s due to stress. I am sorry you have to go through this, they are horrible.
Stay rested and get better soon!!

That’s terrible! Have you seen the doctor about it at all? The blurred vision is a little scary to me, have you had that before? I used to get migraines all the time when I was in high school and they always hit when I was in this particular classroom (and it was my favourite class, I wasn’t just trying to skip out!). I think I must have been violently allergic to something in there. Glad you’re feeling better though.

I’m so sorry! Migraines are the worst!! I have been in your position many times. I take Imitrex 100mg but it’s a toss up if it’s going to work or not. Stress is definitely a factor for me, but also when I stop exercising or if my diet gets a little wonky, I get them more frequently. I also added a bunch of vitamins to my diet on recommendation of my neurologist. I think that has also helped, but sometimes a horrible one still sneaks up on me! Feel better!!

I’m glad you are feeling a bit better. I got my first migraine on my 18th birthday (crappy birthday right?!). I get them so bad I throw up, blurry vision, feel weak, mine are horrible. I have to take anti-nausea medication and maxalt. If that doesn’t work I had to call my doctor at 7 p.m. on a Saturday once (thankfully she lives close & told me to call her before going to ER to save me $) and she gave me a shot of some drug in my butt cheek, that thankfully helped a lot.
Rest up and feel better. Maybe try a hot bath (once you know you won’t fall asleep or pass out of course), that sometimes helps calm my nerves and relieve the stress/migraine.

My mom gets migraines so bad that she’ll be looking at someone and can only see half of their face. I’ve never had one that bad, but I will see halos around things and get extremely weak and disoriented.
Mom and I both find that a cup of black coffee can do wonders to help with migraines, but if you find they’re starting to affect your vision a lot, you should definitely make a trip to the doc.

Thanks you guys. I just ended up taking a hot shower and it felt amazing. I still feel drained and really tired. I’m going to try to get a good night’s sleep tonight. My head doesn’t hurt anymore but my eyes do. I think I got it because I didn’t sleep well last night at all and then I had to get up at 5:45.
I’ll definitely call my doctor if I get another migraine like that again because it was just horrible.

Seems to be common lately. I have suffered horrible migraines such as that. My most recent one struck me while I was at work. I just wanted to cry. Fortunately, it wasn’t that bad, but bad enough to affect my vision (eyes were super sensitive), made me feel nauseated. All of that fun stuff.
