Have any of you bees that are a street size 10 or higher tried on a Hailey Paige dress? I’m going to a HP trunk show in about a month and I’m really hoping to find my dress there, but I’m terrified I won’t fit into their samples. They told me they will have samples in size 10 and 12, but that’s obviously going to run super small as it’s Bridal sizing. I’m specifically interested in the ball gown styles.
I had a really humiliating time trying on bridesmaid dresses last year, where they didn’t have dresses in my size and I had to squeeze into these hideous dresses and pretend I loved it, I can’t do that this time lol.
I was a 14 a few months ago but have steadily been losing weight, so maybe in a month I’ll be an 8? I’m hoping to get down to my old size of 2/4 (my S/O and I put on a bunch of weight over the last few years together) by winter, but that’s too late for trying on dresses. Hopefully they can size it down a few sizes.

Where some spanx shapewhere so your butts not really hanging out but sometimes trying on smaller sizes are better you can see how it would fit better in the front. When they are your size or bigger you have to imagine what they would look taylored. Your just not going to see the dress zipped up in the back. I have to go up a size because of my chest but I did feel like a smaller dress clipped showed how it would look better if it was taylored. Wedding dress tend to run two sizes smaller

Don’t be embarrassed! I think very few brides get to actually try on dresses in their own sizes. It’s almost always too small or too big. A good bridal sales associate will know how to clip you in to give you the general idea. But dresses NEVER look exactly as they will once they’re tailored when you’re trying them on.
I was a Hayley Paige bride! I just love her. Relax and have fun!

I wouldn’t worry too much! I’m a street size 6/8, and was able to fit in all the HP samples I tried on. Granted they didn’t zip, but I wasn’t squeezing and dancing my way to get into them. I ended up ordering a size 14 HP dress, if that helps at all? I don’t think you’ll be too far off the sample sizes so I’d try not to worry. I agree with PP, a good consultant will be able to pin the dress so it looks perfectly fitted to you!

Don’t be worried at all! Some brides need clips, some dresses don’t zip… that’s what samples are all about! I used to browse real brides in her gowns on instagram all the time and loved it because you see them on such a wide variety of body shapes and sizes – maybe do that to calm your nerves!
I got my dress at a HP trunk show and it was honestly one of the best days! Let yourself have a good time and remember, all that matters is that YOUR dress fits, the sample is just a sample!
Have fun and please post photos!!
