Hi lovely bees!
As always, I’m lucky to have somewhere to come where doubtless lots of you are also umming and ahhing over choices of things 🙂
My question is my headpiece – to go with flowery/romantic or blingy bling bling.
I’m wearing an a-line strapless lace dress with yellow-gold sash with bling detail, and a hand-made button-up back 3/4 length sleeve top made out of tulle and edged in the same lace as the dress. I really keep changing my mind between bling headpiece, or flower headband – and just can’t decide as I feel like I really need to see the whole thing. I’ll try and put pics up so you can see what I’m aiming for:

hmmm… what about your jewelry? if you have some blinged out jewelry then Id go with flowery. But my first thought was how about flowery AND blingy? Ive seen some really beautiful items on etsy, though they are way out of my budget, with some light chiffon flowers AND beading, rhinestones, crystals… and i looove them! I actually was pondering one (handmade cheaply by moi) but found a veil that I really love and someone very generously gifted to me, so I really want to keep this on as long as possible for my wedding day. After I take it off I dont think it will make a difference or not if i have a headpiece in, though I was trying to put a rhinstone crystal piece in. If i come across one affordably… i still might get it… so many decisions!

@nl:Eeek, I don’t have jewelery! Hmmm, I’m so not used to this girlie stuff and am obviously forgetting important things. I guess I’m going to try and go with the hair bits and sash first off – then maybe a cuff or something?
Thanks for the advice 🙂 I have also seen flowery and blingy stuff together too – it’s soooo hard to decide when everything is gorgeous! I also tried to go down the route of making something, but am steadily coming to the conclusion that it might be less stressful to try and find something affordable.
Any pictures more than welcome – nice to meet other headpiece lovers 🙂
The veil question was also another one I was going to tackle but maybe at a later date..

@dahliaitseems: I wanted a birdcage veil…. then I tried on a regular veil and actually felt like a bride so that was it! I figure my crystal clip would just hide under the veil. I cant figure not wearing something I love for nearly the entire reception… so I’ll wear that veil as long as I possibly can lol!
