I am going to get my hair done, because I will probably do an updo that I know that I couldn’t do myself. However, I will be doing my own make up as I am confident enough to do that myself, and do not want to waste money.

Hair, definitely. My best friend and I are very good at makeup, so I paid to have my makeup done and washed it off and did it ourselves. lol

I’m getting my hair done the day before the wedding and since I don’t wear much makeup, I am clueless so I’m getting it professionally done and treating my bridesmaids too. If you’re good with your hair/makeup and you can do it, don’t bother wasting your $$$ and spend it on something else for your wedding.

I want mine done in an updo, which I could never do myself.

I’m getting a professional to do my makeup as well, because… Well, it’s not that I don’t LIKE when I do my own makeup. It looks lovely for day-to-day. But for my wedding day I want it to look a little different and a little more sophisticated. 🙂

my hair is impossible to do so I will definitely be leaving that to a pro.

I’m not bad at all with make up, but I’m not taking chances.  Like, I had no idea that mineral make up (what I wear every day) makes your skin look shiny in pro pics until I saw it on here.  I also want to use a good primer to keep my make up in place, but the good ones are expensive $30-60 so I’d rather just pay $50-70 to have it done.  Plus,  I don’t want to pick bad colors or products.

Make up counters are a good cheap way to have your make up done.  I had my make up for my high school prom done at Clinique in Dillard’s and I got TONS of compliments.  All I had to do was commit to buying a product and gave her a tip.  I think it was $25 total??

look for an artist who does airbrushing.  it makes a world of difference in photos and it won’t budge no matter how much you sweat/cry.

i definitely recommend having a trial done though.  and take photos in all different kinds of light.  especially the type of lighting your day of photos will be taken in.

good luck!
