Hey Bees,
I just got home from my hair and makeup trial. I want some opinions.
I’m going for a 1950’s glam look, so not rockabilly, more like old movie star.
I think my makeup is pretty bang on, I love the eyes, and the lips and everything, we tried a few different shades of red and I think this one is perfect. The only thing I would change would be to flair out the eyeliner a little more, but make the line thinner, which I already talked to my MUA about. Anything else you notice?
Next my hair, it’s not as much volume as I would like, but she said she wanted to try a softer look, and now she agrees that I need more volume more defined curls/waves. So this time we did pin curls, next time she will be doing a wet set which will give it overall more volume more definition.
This is me with no makeup at all, just some moisturizer.

This is me fully made-up!

GFerg: Thanks so much! It’s amazing what some makeup can do!
Cheekie0077: Yeah for sure, I want the eyeliner a little thinner and more winged out, and she MUA totally agreed and mentionned it even before I commented, she was great at adjusting what I wanted. She added some shimmer to the inner eye too which I think really helped!
beautyofdreams: Thanks so much your a doll!

MrsChapman2015: twistaway: kdbug41: Thank you so much bees! It’s so hard when we are planning weddings we seem to be extremely critical of everything we do, I’m so glad you all like it!

Gorgeous! I agree on winging out the eyeliner a little more. Only other thing I noticed is that my eyes went straight to your forehead. I feel the bronzer she put along your hairline may be just a bit too dark.
TheThe hair is lovely!

I think the make up is very lovely but a touch heavy-handed. If she keeps the same techniques but uses just a little bit less of everything (especially the blush/bronzing on cheeks/forehead) I think you will look a smidge more fresh faced and youthful. (Based on the before photos, I know you do look young naturally 🙂 It’s just really just a fractional amount adjustment. It’s very glam and super pretty! The hair is to die for, perfection.

xxmegbugxx: Yes I was thinking of that examining the photos, it’s something she did at the last minute, I could definitely tell her to go a little easier.
vintagekitten: I agree mainly because I never wear bronzer ever, I just wear some peachy blush at the very most, and rarely wear foundation, this is also the first time I tried airbrush makeup which is what she did for me, she said we can always go traditional if I wasn’t crazy about it. And turning 29 on Saturday, not a total spring chicken! But looking younger is always a plus! I really appreciate the feedback I took out the hair cause I didn’t want my Fiance to see, but I’ll also get his opinion on the makeup I think. But yes a little lighter on the bronzer I definitely agree with! I love the hair too lol, I’m surprised she got it to look that length since it is so long now, I love it!
Chaedra: Mrs.Fay: Thank you so much ladies!
