I might be the wrong person, but mine are 2 weeks before and hair is 1 week before. Not sure this is the norm. It is what they suggested though.

I was however told that if you want to do it earlier that is fine as well. For the makeup I think it’s more about doing it as close to the wedding as possible so that it is fresh in the artist’s mind and you will be close to the same color etc. that you will be on your wedding day.

For the hair, my stylist told me if you are pick I would do it a bit earlier so that you can do more than 1 trial if necessary. Since what I will be wearing will be a bit simple I opted to do it close to the wedding.

Hope this helps!

My wedding is in October and my hair and makeup trial is in 2 weeks. So I’m super early! But I figured it’s better to have more time to allow for me to potentially change my mind once I have a better idea of what the rest of my look will be. As Boston_MrsS_to_be said, you can always do more than one trial!

My trials are around 1 month before the wedding… My hair trial was last week and my makeup trial is this weekend.  My wedding is on April 11.  I say do it a little earlier than 1-2 weeks out…. because what if you don’t like your hair/makeup at the trial and need to schedule another one?  I did not like the hair style at my trial… it was a style I picked and the stylist did it beautifully, I just figured out that I didn’t like it on me and it didn’t reflect my personal style. I have some time to figure out the style I do want and have another trial if necessary since I did it a little earlier. Those are just my thoughts!

Mine was literally the night before! We had a destination wedding and I didn’t have time (or money) to get to meet her before the wedding. It went brilliantly though. Once she did it we talked it through and I asked her to make a couple of changes. Next day (wedding day) it was perfect.

Maybe don’t leave it that late though
