There’s a list of vendors in this thread, including a hair and makeup place. If you have a photographer I would ask for their recommendation as well.

I would like to hear from others as well. The one hair/makeup recommendation in the other thread is VERY expensive in my opionion (200+ euros for hair only) plus they aren’t available on my wedding day. I’ve been searching for another vendor but I’m not having any luck.

@onepercent:  I am doing my own hair, so I can’t offer any tips on that front, but I did just email Sally Biondo, a makeup artist in Paris/New York (this may mean that she is only in Paris part-time? I’m not sure). I’ll post again if I hear back from her.

@nutmeagan:  Please do update if you hear from her. Maybe she will have a good lead for a hairstylist in Paris?

For those who don’t want to spend hundred on their hair. A new concept has opened in Paris: the “hair bar”. it’s a hair saloon where you can come and do a hairstyle quickly and cheaply. I discovered it on Cosmopolitan Magazine.

Simple hairstyle “10 minutes” : 20€

Cocktail hairstyle “20 minutes”: 40€

Sophisticated “30 minutes”: 80€

And believe me, their hairstyles are really welldone! The website of the saloon: http://www.christophenicolasbiot.com/bar-chignons

My wedding is in Paris in July and I found my makeup artist and hairstylist a few months ago (same person for both services). I kept emailing beauty & fashion makeup artists as I really wanted a pro, nobody would care to reply! We will have a videographer and 2 photographers so I thought a pro makeup artist would pay more attention to details.

We did a trial in March as my fiance and I traveled to his family in Paris and organized a part of our wedding from there.

She was amazing, she came with her iPad and took so much time to listen to what I wanted, liked or not while browsing through the images. She came up with a classy and natural style, nothing too classic but very French at the same time. I just can’t wait to have her taking care of me on my wedding day and I’m dying to see what she will do with my mom!

She’s the sweetest, speaks English very well but she’s not the cheaper though! It is 280€ for both makeup + hair but she explained that she never charge any extras for parking, eyelashes, etc like other artists in Paris. I pay 100€ for my mom’s hair + make up.

Hello There,

I received a few messages from some of you getting married in Paris regarding the link I posted from the hairstylist and makeup artist that I recommended. Indeed the link wasn’t working, I did a mistake, it wasn’t .com but .me : http://www.allisondepmakeup.me

I’ve just heard from her, she gave me her new bridal website http://www.modernbeautiesparis.com and asked if I would agree to share my 1 year anniversary pictures to feature them on 🙂

Our photographer, Fred Marigaux, didn’t even take closer pictures from us during our wedding.

All my wedding photos were focused on decoration, venue, details, etc… He was our only big disappointment. So we scheduled a 1 year anniversary couple session with someone else to have a few great couple shots.
