I received a GREAT quote from a hair and makeup artist. He does great work and even offers a free trial. The price is $600 for 7 people (including myself and the trial) and so it would very affordable. This also includes hair AND AIRBRUSH makeup! The only problem is that it is just him and an assistant. However, the assistant just helps him set up and keeps him on time he said. Therefore he said for 7 people it would be about 5 hours. That seems like a loooong time for everyone to be waiting around doing who knows what. Is 5 hours too long? I mean they could always go play around in the city, or get on the internet or something I don’t know. lol. Advice? thanks!

5 hours is a long time, and its really unfortunet that he doesn’t have an assistant that also does hair and makeup. For a group that large, I would always reccomend getting two hairstylest/make up artists which would cut the time in half. However, since this isn’t an option, and it sounds like he a is a great deal, I would create a schedule of who is going first, second, etc. Then let the girls know what time they actually need to show up at, because it would be hard to show up at 10, when you arnt’ actually getting worked on until 2.

i’d be more worried about the fact that he’s doing both the hair and makeup in that time….seems like a conservative estimate of 5 hours for that many people’s hair AND makeup….can you just get him to do one of the services for everyone?

@Mrs. Meowerson: I agree with what you said…
I was in a wedding this weekend and we had 5 bridesmaids plus the bride and 2 hair stylists and 1 makeup artist (she only did 3 people’s makeup though) and it took us over 4.5 hours to get everything done.
