I would agree it doesn’t look natural. Beautiful! But not natural. If it’s not what you wanted, go back and tell her that you would like her to try again, but don’t pay again. Her job is to make you feel beautiful on your day of to your specifications, she obviously did not achieve that.

As far as hair, what styles were you thinking? Was this close to what you wanted? I think some loose curls would look GORGEOUS on you! But you look incredible either way 🙂

If you prefer natural, then you should look natural.  You have on A LOT of makeup.  How about trying somebody else?

I think the makeup is not bad.  The eye shadow just needs A LOT more blending.  I would also go a little lighter on the brows and blush.  But overall I think it’s not bad. It photographs well and the colors look great on you.

The hair I’m confussed by.

Very pretty – but not natural.

If she thinks this is natural maybe time to find someone else who knows natural

It’s definitely pretty strong looking, but I would suggest getting a few more pictures at a distance in light similar to what you’re planning for your photos to see how it will read on film.  You might need the stronger makeup to get the look you want in pictures.

I think you should do a trial run with at least one other person.  Bring pictures of what you want, as well as these for an illustration of what you *don’t* want, and see what they can do for you.  You don’t want to be stressing out about having to rein in your makeup artist on the day.

I agree. I think it looks good on you, but is definitely not natural.

Yeah..I think your MA needs a few more neutrals in her tool box. I think your hair will look great up, but maybe not with that style. I think a little looser and softer is the direction you should go because the way your stylist did it, it almost looks fake it is so prim and perfect!

I think you look beautiful but its not a natural look. Its more of a glammed up look but its still pretty! But if you aren’t feeling it I’d prob not waste my time on the artist and go to someone else!

@MissFireFlower:  Just curious did you show her any pics for inspiration? B/C ones persons idea of natural might be different than someone elses….I’d love to see the pic you showed her!

@MissFireFlower:  I actually really love how your make-up turned out! I agree it doesn’t look “natural” per se but it does look beautiful.
