So glad photos are working again! I had my hair & makeup trial last week when I was up in Maine. I wanted to see what everyone thought. I liked the hair when I left the salon, but it came out SO quickly I’m worried about the staying power on my wedding day. The stylist did say she didn’t “shellack” it in place like she would on the day of, so I’m not sure what to think.
For reference, here’s a pic of me normal (hair down, minimal makeup). Please ignore the red eye:
Here’s the hair from multiple angles with my wedding day earrings (no makeup yet):
And here’s me with hair (partially coming down) and makeup, I will have some false eyelashes added for my wedding day:
EDIT: Just realized I spelled trial wrong… oops! It’s not a trail of hair and makeup… that’d be weird.

You look beautiful, I love the hair! How long before it starting falling?

I think the makeup looks great!
The hair looks awesome, but like you, I’d be really worried it wouldn’t hold well just because it is a looser style. I guess I would ask her to pin the bejeezus out of it and spray with abandon 🙂

I think you look beautiful! It’s very fresh and natural looking, and LOVE the hair!

@jenroh1984: It started falling basically the minute I walked out of the salon and into the wind.
It was a VERY windy day but Maine can be windy and the wedding is right on the harbor (with a boat ride across to the reception).
The bun is made to have a few pins removed and become a side pony for later in the night. But I don’t want it all to come flying apart during the ceremony! (or worse, before).

I agree with Luckygir, a little more eyeliner. Love the shimmery shadow and def keep the hair that way!

@Luckygir15: I was hoping the fake lashes would add more oomph to the eyes, but maybe I will ask for a bit more liner.
@NauticalBride2011: Thanks, that is really what I was going for. Everything is going to be outside in very beautiful natural environments on the harbor so I don’t want to end up looking too structured or done up for the natural environment.

I love the back of the hair, but I feel like the front needs a little something else.

I really like it, but two things to consider: 1) I actually like the makeup b/c it is very natural looking… but you might want a bit more especially for the pics; 2) I like the hair, but have you thought about wearing it down or half-up? It looks like you have nice hair.

I love the hair! I would just stress to her that I wanted it to stay put the day of.
I think the makeup could be a little heavier. Especailly the eyes, more liner and more shimmer. It’s quite translucent for pictures esp, HD pictures.

I like the hair, but agree that it looks a little too loose. I think the makeup is nice, but looks almost too natural. False lashes will help, but I think a more dramatic feature would look nice too (whether you want that to be lips, cheeks, eyes, etc).

@la boome: I will be wearing a flower in my hair, so I’m hoping that will had some more visual interest to the front.
@EleanorRigby: Thank you! I had thought about that, but that’s my every day “go to” look. I would take the bottom bun part out later in the evening so it could be a “side ponytail” look.

@basketballwifetobe: I’m noticing that now that I’m seeing the HUGE pictures. I can definitely see some of the little bumps on my face. I may ask her to up the volume just a bit on the make up, so that my skin looks smoother. I will also be getting a few facials between now and the wedding to try and clean up my skin even more.
@hilsy85: I really want to play up the eyes, so I will ask for even more eyeliner/eye makeup as well as the false lashes so that my eyes really pop.

Love it. I think its very natural look and effortless.. Can they put hair spray or something to make it hold better?
