So I went for my first trial on Friday. I don’t usually wear makeup or really style my hair, so it was definitely strange having so much attention and someone in my face. I also didn’t really like the fake eyelashes but I know that it’ll look great in pictures.
Here’s a few choice pics and my inspiration. My hair is a little light to really tease up so she ended up pinning it. I’m not sure about the pinning. Plus, I want my bangs straight down but I need a trim so she pushed them off to the side. (all the pictures are here: http://picasaweb.google.com/uscpixie/HairAndMakeupTrial?feat=directlink
And the inspiration:

i like it!! It looks very much like the inspiration pictures. I didn’t even notice that you had fake lashes on. I wouldn’t have known if you didn’t say anything. They did a great job on that one. Most of the time I can tell that they have fake lashes on. 🙂

I think you look lovely!!! really pretty – people will notice how you look but don’t panic but trust me everyone will be thinking how nice you look and commenting on your new husband to be!!!!
I think it has the right amount of hight – anymore and it would look more put on (if thats the right phrase!) and the hair frames your face really well so that it’s not too harsh
It looks really pretty and I’m think your man is very lucky!!

I love the back view and your headband. I do think a little more height will make it pop from the front. Or you could always lessen the amount of bangs.
As far as makeup goes- you look very natural so that’s always a plus! :0)

I think you look really pretty, and really a lot like your inspiration pics! And I think we are headband twins- did you get yours from Anthropologie? 😉

Miss Root – the headband is from an etsy seller: http://www.etsy.com/shop/SnowWhiteStudio
It took a little while to come from Israel, but I think it was worth it.
I love the way it looks with my dress.

It’s perfection the way it is…don’t change a thing. Your hair color is gorgeous btw.

I like the make up a lot!
Re eyelashes, please don’t be uncomfotable all day for the sake of pictures. It does look great but your own lashes would also look good.
I think pinning as a concept is fine but the look doesn’t seem very polished or clean, nothing wrong with the idea (it’s cute!) but the execution is kind of messy and I feel like the curls in the back are a bit generic. I do like your bangs. Are you set on this hair person?

I think your hair should have a little more oomph, but the whole ensemble looks great!

I’m definitely not set on the hair. I have two other people in mind. I think I’m willing to sit through more trials to make sure I get the right person. I also think the hair needs a little more oomph, since I want to keep the make-up very natural.
I’m thinking it needs to be a little bigger. I almost wish my hair was longer, but I definitely don’t want extensions.

well, my mom weighed in and she said she likes the make-up and the back of the hair. Which makes me think she doesn’t love the front of the hair. She’s a woman of few words when it comes to e-mail. (Maybe she thinks she pays by the word?)

I love the make-up…very simple but glowy and very much the “blushing bride” 🙂
the hair is pretty but I agree that a bit more “oomph” would be good but the pinning concept is fine!

I love it! The hair is beautiful and romantic and the makeup is simple and glowy!

The hair looks fantastic, especially from the back.
