I booked the salon for my hair, as well as my 3 BMs and mom today, but now I am worried I went with too early of a time. Our wedding is at 1:00pm, so I have to be at the church around 12:30. The salon and the hotel we are getting ready at are literally just a block down the street. I made the appointments for 8am; should I call and see if they can change it to 9? I’m worried about my hair “lasting” all day. Our ceremony is at 1, but the reception isn’t until 5 (Catholic gap). I’m not sure how many stylists they will have working on. My mom and I are also getting our makeup done at the same salon.

I personally think 8am is fine.
Our ceremony was at 5:30 but I needed to be back at the house by 11:30 for bridal pick up. I was actually at the salon by 700/730 because it’s about 15 minutes from the house.
Better have a little extra time to be safe. Don’t want to be late for your own wedding!
If you are really worried I would call and ask your salon for their opinion. They know what kind of hair style you want and know the pace they work at so they will be able to give you a better time assessment.

We are having a 2:30 ceremony and a 4:30 cocktail hour and my hairdresser wants me and the bridesmaids there at 7:30 so I share your concern but they will probably do the bridesmaids hair and make-up first and have you be last or at least start you early and then finish you last if that makes sense.

Our wedding is at 5:00, I am scheduling the hair for noon so I have plenty of time to get back to the hotel and get dressed before the limo picks us up at 4. If my hair takes extra time at the trial, I’ll bump my appointment back to 11 to be safe.

If they could change it, I probably would, but if you are unable to do so, I wouldn’t stress too much. 🙂

Hmm…unless you are planning on getting wild and crazy to Willow Smith’s “Whip your hair back and forth” I think your hair will still be perfect by wedding/reception time 🙂

My ceremony isn’t until 6:30, and my hair/makeup people want us to get started around 10:30! I think the earlier starting time gives them enough time to get everyone’s hair in curlers and fix any small mistakes. I’m sure you’ll be fine 🙂

Better to have plenty of time than stress out! I had an 8 am appt for a 10:30 ceremony. EEK!

Thanks everyone! I feel much better now. I guess I’m at that point in planning where I am second guessing every little thing!
