@madteaparty:  I am thinking that I’ll probably use a comb too – love the vintage look! I’ve been searching on Etsy and EBay mostly, but you’re right, they can be super expensive!

Etsy has a huge selection of hair combs! I got mine for about 40-50 (I think). I don’t have a great photo, but here’s a couple to give you an idea.

 

Absolutely terrible photo of me, but a good on of the hair piece!

Wow big difference! If you poke around that ebay seller’s shop you’ll find similar ones. Don’t let it overwhelm you. I put probably too much energy into it and of course asked everyone which one they liked best, everyone says something different and you end up back at square one. Make sure you take our hairstyle into account. I had so many bobby pins they really had to force that comb in! Hurts to be beautiful. haha

You can search on Amazon as well for some affordable hair accessories.  I too thought I originally wanted a flower but now I want to make my own hair piece.  I am pretty sure I can purchase all I would need from Hobby Lobby or Michaels.  This is my inspiration: It is simply breathtaking.
