I had my trial run quite early in the year in January and my wedding is in July. I showed my stylist a picture of a modern up-do done on Eva Longria (love her, she’s so pretty!). Well my updo didn’t look exactly like it but the back of it did just not the front. I wasn’t sure if I like the hair and make up because it didn’t feel like it looked like me. I didn’t like how the front with the side curls turned out. After examing the photos, I felt like I looked too old and the make up was too heavy on the eyes. The curls were cute but by the end of the night, I felt my updo falling and I kept having to fuss with pinning it back up. So this made me nervous about my wedding day! I don’t want my hair to fall apart before it even starts. Well everyone said she will spend more time the day of the wedding, it’s only the trial so you will just get a sense of how it will look. But I thought gosh I paid so much I would think it will be done as if it was the actually day. Okay maybe I’m being paranoid but tell me what you think does this look work?! I want to change the front and not have my bangs curled. Should I keep this look or go with a whole different more classic n clean look?! here’s how it turned out… http://www.mywedding.com/acetjb/photo_71037_11080370.html

I love the back of the hair! The front however does look a little bit strange with the bangs in separate pieces and the one curl is kind of frizzy. Maybe just have her blow out the bangs so they curk softly on your forehead but not in pieces? and pin that last curl back?
I would believe the stylist that the hairdo will be more stable on the wedding day – the explanation makes sense anyways.
The makeup looks perfect – very pretty and definitely not over the top. But of course you are the one who needs to feel comfortable with it.
The look seems very classic and elegant to me!

you look divine.
I love it. The makeup is a tad heavy on your eyes.. you’re so pretty you don’t need it.

Love the back. The front seems a little blah.

Love the back of the hair! Agree that the bangs are a little too curled, but is still very pretty. And the makeup is very soft and not over the top at all. You’ll want it to show up in the pictures too… that’s what everyone tells me, the makeup on your wedding day is a little heavier because of pics.
You’ll be a gorgeous bride!

You look fabulous!!!
I think you need some lipstick though 🙂 Maybe a nice pink glossy lipstick like the color in your flower.

Thanks for the honest advice! I appreciate it. I forgot to reapply my lipgloss when I took the picture. =) But yes the back was my favorite too and I wasn’t so thrilled about the front, I will probably have my stylist make the front a lot cleaner and simple, no curls – more swept the side. But the hair-do I liked a lot was Katherine Heigel’s hair in 27 Dresses at the end when she got married & she wore 3 gardenias in her hair – this is exactly how I want my hair but I can’t find a picture of it.

as everyone above, i love the back of your hair and i think that after you redesign the front as you stated above, it will be gorgeous!
the eye makeup looks good. i agree it will need to be a bit heavier for your pictures. it and it doesnt look too heavy from what i can see. perhaps you wear very little everyday so thats why it seems like so much?
