I’m more than likely going to wear it up because mine is disgustingly thick and has a mind of it’s own and I don’t think it would last down. If you can wear your hair down and you know it will stay and you and Fiance like it I say go for it!

I voted for down, just because your Fiance prefers it. Have you thought about adding extensions if you’re worried about your hair falling flat? They don’t have to add length, they can be used just for volume.

What about a happy medium, and a half-up, half-down style?  I had the same predicament for my wedding (i wanted it up, he wanted it down), and this was our compromise.  Smile  Granted, the photo below totally isn’t me…but this was the idea…

I have very fine hair too and I plan to wear mine half-up…enough so that it’s out of my face and will hold, but still somewhat have the hair-down feeling 🙂

I think you should do what makes you feel the best. If you’re going to be self-conscious about wearing it down and the style going flat, then it’s not worth it.

Maybe talk to him about why he wants it down versus why you want it up and see what the reasons are. Is it SUPER important to him to have your hair down?

I’m sure even if you wear it up, he will still think you are the most beautiful woman on earth.

I have very thin hair and am wearing it up because of this exact reason– I would LOVE to wear it down and am a little bit sad that I can’t– but I know that I would be unhappy with how it looked by the end of the night (and maybe even the beginning; it’s just so hard to get the volume that makes it look good). If you have time/$ maybe you could do two hair trials– one up and one down? Or at least do a trial with it down and if it ends up not holding and you don’t like it, have a back-up updo plan for the day-of.

My fiance wants my hair down too and I wanted it up originally because it’s going to be windy.  I was afraid I’d look completely windblown.  In order to clip my veil in I need it half up so hello compromise =)
