I don’t think it’s too casual at all. Plus it will look super romantic. I might be biased though because I definitely want to wear my hair down. And if a Duchess can do it so can you! 😉

I do find it to be somewhat more casual than an updo (or even half-up/half-down).  But that doesn’t mean that there is anything wrong with that if it is the look you want.

I wore my hair half-up/half-down because wearing it down felt too much like what I do almost every day.  I felt like for my wedding I should do something more than just “everyday”.

I kind of agreee that hair down looks a little less “formal” but not in the pretty/fancy sense, but more in the “done” sense.

Why don’t you try a half up half down style? But if you want it all down you could dress it up with some nice barretts or combs or if you don’t want anything in it at all I really don’t think that it would be too casual as long as it was “done” and not just straight and hanging there.

I think hair down just looks better! Up-dos seem a bit prom-y to me… Hair down looks very romantic (perfect for a wedding!)

I agree that it looks less formal, but often looks better, IMO. I say go with what YOU think will make you feel beautiful. My fiance also prefers my hair down, but I am going to go to the salon, try a couple styles out, and figure out what I like best. Because, honestly, your fiance will find you stunning either way.

It looks more natural/relaxed! Which, I suppose technically IS less formal…

I’m doing half-up.

I think it can look formal.   I’m highly considering doing it all down or half up (mainly to hold a veil.)

I would have loved to have had my hair down for my wedding. But my hair never keeps a decent “down” style without mega gel or hairspray(which my hair texture does NOT appreciate), plus my dress had a ruffled collar so up was really my only option!  Go to a stylist for suggestions, or take over Google Images – there are wonderfully classy “down” styles all over the net.
