This is how I wore my hair exactly…Wavy and parted in the middle. My veil was attached on top with a comb. It’s enough to support the veil and holds really well.

Have you tried using a metal comb?  I made my veil with a metal comb because it didn’t fall out at all compared to the plastic.

If you are worried about the comb coming out, your hair stylist can use a few bobby pins to secure it.

To get the comb to stay in your hair I would use the same principles I use to keep clip in extentions in. I gently backcomb the tiny section where the clip is goin and then spray it with hairspray. This adds a bit of resistence and stops it slipping.

@bluestone: Is that Enzoani?

This is me after my hair trial. On the day i’m not having it half up but just a small section of hair will be up near on the crown part of my head which the veil comb will slide into.

@bluestone: Thanks! I love your dress as well. I had it saved at as one of my favorites but I couldn’t find it anywhere last year to try it on.

My veil had a metal comb and it slid right in the hair, no bobbypins. I have fine hair too but it wasn’t a problem. Maybe the comb you tried on had teeth that were too wide apart?

The sheer modesty panel was created by my genious mom two days before the wedding! I was debating whether to wear this dress or not (I had purchased two others, long story), one reason being that the sweetheart neckline was too deep. My mom came up with the idea to handstitch some leftover tulle from the alterations from one of the other dresses and it worked out great.

@bluestone: Ah thanks. Really, mine’s anjolique (Benjamain Roberts in the UK) too –  style 930

I’m unsure yet how long i’ll wear the veil but hopefully up to the first dance as i’m having a cathedral length and think it’ll look great swishing around. No I don’t think it will look strange , my hairdresser did it for me when I had the trial and i’m having it too add some height and a bit of oomph.  πŸ˜‰
