- Wedding: April 2011
My husband to be’s cousin offered to do my hair for the wedding (which was nice of her). The problem is she only did 1 run through with my hair 3 months ago (and no head piece bc her sister is making the head piece and still hasn’t finished it that’s another post considering I only have 3 weeks until the wedding).
I asked her recently (b/c of my work schedule I’m traveling on weekends and it’s hard to finish planning my wedding) if she could do 1 more run through with my hair and she said “no, I don’t want to and I know what I’m doing I’ve been doing hair for 20 years”. I said, Well, I would really like to do another run through with my head piece when it’s done” and she said. It’s alright honey, I know what I’m doing I’ve done proms and weddings before. The challenge with this is……they are a big Italian family.
Also she has been doing hair for 20 years cutting and coloring elderly people, short hair and teens. Well, I’m 32 with long hair and don’t want any braids or a bunch of teenage curls in my hair…get my drift? I really just want to walk away and go to a salon and pay for this. I offered to pay her and she refused as this is her wedding gift to me and the groom. What do you think? Should I say continue trying to push her to do my hair? I don’t want to make it uncomfortable at the wedding but I also want my hair done where I love it. I’m not paying a crap load of money for pictures that I’m not going to like.
