I have fine, thin, limp hair, and want to buy some clip in hair extensions to hopefully allow me to do something with my hair!! My hair doesnt really hold a curl. Anyone have recommendations for certain brands or salons where you can buy some? (Specifically, I am in MA but close to NH). I will buy online if I have to, but I prefer to go to the store and compare the color against the color of my hair. I went to Sallys but the 2 browns they had for clip ins dont match me! My hair is a weird shade..

scurll: If you buy real hair then your stylist can dye the extensions to match yours.
I bought the kind that my stylist recommended. I don’t have the packaging anymore & I don’t remember the name. There was another thread with a few brand suggestion yesterday or the day before.

I have really thin fine long hair and I wanted extensions for both fullness and length, I ordered two different pairs:
Cashmere hair in 20″ – awesome clips, really stays in your hair very well! the hair itself is also awesome, but it’s a bit too thick for my thin hair, but after spending the $$$ on it, I wear it anyways!
Also bought my fantasy hair in 18″ with natural ends – Love it! The clips are not as good as the cashmere hair ones, but for finer hair, it blends better.
With both companies, you can send them pics and they will help you match up your color, and you can always return it if it’s unopened!

scurll: Don’t buy from Sally’s…most of theirs are synthetic. You’ll want to go to a more complete beauty supply (ask your hair stylist where there’s one near you) and be prepared to drop a couple hundred bucks for good quality natural hair. I’m not sure where you live, but it’s easiest to find stores with a good selection of hair extensions in areas with greater ethnic diversity, since a large percentage of hair extension purchasers are African American or mixed-race.
