I’ve had hair extensions, the brand was Great Lengths and they did not damage my very fine hair. I liked them for about the first month, after that I got tired of them and come month 2 you could see the bonding (mind you, my hair grows SUPER fast). I would def get them for your wedding. I loved how they looked. The cons I found were that they just didn’t really fit my lifestyle in the summer. My stylist told me that I had to dry the bonding so that moisture wouldn’t build up in there, not very comvenient for weekends in the sun at the lake/beach. (She said mold could build up in there if I didnt, since I was afraid of this happening  I was super diligent). You can’t soak them in conditioner, this in fact makes them come out. When I was ready to take them out, I just soaked them in conditioner and slid them down my hair, pretty convenient and undamaging. If you get them I highly recommend you check the removal technique,a nd get one thats like Great Lengths. One of my friends had extensions put in and when removing them she had her break off and had to cut her hair into a pixie cut! Also, if you get them they should provide you with some treatment spray and a special brush. The brush has super soft straight bristles that dont tug on the extensions, it actually happens to be my fav brush of all time and was sad that it broke in my luggage on out recent trip to Ireland.

Hope that helps! If you get them done right I would say go for it and you’ll be way less stressed on your big day. Plus you’ll have some days beforehand to play around with them and try different styles =)

I just bought myself clip in hair extensions and i love them! Trust me I am no pro at doing my hair and I can put them in without them showing. It just takes a little backcombing! If you are getting a professional to do your hair for you they should have no problem putting them in and making sure they don’t show. Just double check with your stylist that she is willing to do it and check if there are any extra costs.

I seriously recommend getting clip in extensions! They are so fun and look great!!

Hope this helps! Laughing

I have clip in extensions on right now from my hair trial and the only ones to ask me if they were extensions are the girls from work who see me with my hair everyday. I cut my hair before the hair trial and Fiance didn’t realize I had them in. To be honest, it’s been a few days and he still doesn’t know lol. It’s super easy and like nickels said I’ve had the sewn in ones before and I got tired fast. These are better in my opinion.

@MissHockey: where did you buy your clip extensions? I’m looking for some as well.

I’m also debating between braided extensions and clip-on…I am worried that the clip on color will never blend with my natural color- is that true?

I like the idea of having long full hair on my honeymoon too, if I got the more permanent ones…but maybe I could just use the clip-on ones on my honeymoon too!?

@Ms. Sparkles:

I bought my clipins from Sally’s beauty supply. I had to buy two packages because I have really thick hair and 1 package was not enough. I would recommend only buying one first and going back to get the second pack if you need it later. I also bought the 18 inch ones because that allowed my hairdresser to cut them and make them blend with my hair a bit more. They definately take a bit of practice but if I can put them in so can you! You just need to backcomb your top layers a bit to blend them! They stay in really well too and they aren’t too annoying. You only notice them at first but you get used to them. I heard that bonding extensions ruins your hair and is also extremely uncomfortable, nevermind that they are extremely expensive. I liked that I could use the extensions whenever I wanted and I could take them out at night and sleep well. Again, I am no specialist but I would definately use them for my wedding!

@Evie19: I think it just depends on the color of your hair. I was worried that mine werent going to blend well but it was like a perfect match! Mind you I also got my hairdresser to try and get it as close to the extensions as possible.

Here is my hair with extensions in… Please ignore the ridiculous hats these were taken at a party, haha

Here is what my hair looks like on a normal basis! Sorry about the weird pics! I am at work and these are the only ones I could find! I hope this helps!

I have the Sally’s Euronext Remy hair clip extensions in the 14″ (I think)?  I thought the color matched well (they have quite a few and you can test the color strands up against your own color).  I can’t wear the hair straight though – it is much too thin and doesn’t match my own hair consistency at all.  I curl mine and I think they look great, blend in well together, and one package is enough.

oooh I should also add that in that specific pic of my extensions I only have one package in.. As you can see its a bit thin in spots but I went out the next day and bought a second package. Unfortunately I don’t have a pic handy of both packages in, Sorry!
