I gotta tell you, as a bridesmaid, if the bride asked me to get hair extensions for the wedding I would flat out refuse.  I think it’s totally unnecessary.

@sailor:  Yea, and I think the cost would be higher than I’d care to spend.

My friend wanted me to get hair extensions in my hair for her wedding last year but I refused to get them First off they were expensive and my hair is already long. Also the thought of having someone or somethings hair on my head all day long totally freaked me out!!!

I’m a hairstylist, I love clip in extensions!

I wear them everyday, I also recommend them for my brides, it makes the hair look full.

It also helps hold the hair all day, if your hair is past shoulder length go for the clips. They average $80-100. It only gets really expensive if you go for fused extensions.

Just make sure it’s remy hair , that way you can curl or flat iron it, synthetic will burn.

First who is paying for them, you or the BM?

Seond, what quality of extensions?

I have great hair (yeah, I’m bragging…) and the various clip-in hair extensions look too shiny or off when put into my hair. Once when I had a really bad hair cut years ago the extensions that looked appropriate to tide me over until my hair grew were the top of the line ones and frankly I doubt anyone would be willing to spend that much one day.

I wore them in a wedding as a bridesmaid, and I LOVED them. I even wore them several times after. I just ordered new ones for my own wedding. I think they are totally worth it!
