Im having a vail, my hair will be in a side curl bun thing and ill be wearing a flower as well.  I am also concerned that it will be “too busy” but i have seen other photos of brides doing it and it looked great.

I don’t think it’ll be too much.  Are you wearing the accessory at the same time as the veil, or putting it on after you take the veil off?

I am doing something similar….wearing my hair down with a comb on the side with the veil sitting behind it then I will take the veil off after wedding and just wear the comb….I love this idea….best of both worlds!

depends on what the accessory is! just try them on all together to make sure you like the look together, and not just the individual pieces.

I’m not doing hair half up/half down, but I am wearing a veil and a comb that looks like a mini tiara. I plan to remove the veil for the reception and move the comb to the back of my head on top of the bun of curls I’ve got. Here are my inspiration pics:

I’m going with the smoother look in the first picture, but I’m hoping the tiara will look good like the pearl comb in the second picture. I don’t know if this answers your original question, but I don’t think a veil + an accessory is too much!

I’ve seen it look great in pictures and real life. Go for it!

Not too much!  I’ll be doing a half-up, half-down hairstyle as well, with a circlet/tiara and a veil attached at the back of my head.  Based on my dress fitting, my bridesmaids think the combination looks regal (even though my hair was just thrown half up into a barette for the fitting, instead of done in the fancy crown cascade braid I’ll have for the wedding).  Front & back views:
